
I Ain’t Over It
Suddenly, a lone raven emerged from the darkness.
“You think you’re clever, but you’re not,” it said. “You’re fickle and irresponsible. You question every decision and can’t commit to one once made. I don’t know why, but I do like you,” the raven laughed, “But you need to leave the thinking to me.”
I pondered the offer as if I was hearing it for the first time. Perhaps too long, or, in retrospect, maybe not long enough.
“Right,” I said, in that maddening way I sometimes do. “And you are?”
